Even though I now have a public speaking business, this was not always possible nor was it an easy journey.
When I was a hairdresser in my 20’s, I was inspired to teach and started out attempting to teach other hairdressers.
I discovered I was terrified of public speaking and ended up having to be rescued on stage a couple of times when I froze in front of hundreds of people and no words were coming out.
It was so bad I wondered if it really was possible to have confidence when speaking to an audience.
Eventually I was faced with a choice. Figure out what it will take and get training or give up, get stuck and not grow in my career and make the difference I wanted to make.
I became driven and chose to start by joining a Toastmasters Public Speaking Club and get coaching and training which led me to becoming an entrepreneur where I help others with speaking.
That’s why I’m so passionate about working with women in business get connection with their audience, clarity with what to say and confidence in their experience of speaking.
