We were established in 1973, as South Denver Cardiology Associates (SDCA), a cardiology group committed to providing the highest level of cardiac care to the South Metro region. As our reputation grew with the community, we expanded by carefully selecting quality, university-trained cardiologists who service a community that is approximately ten times greater in size than the original SDCA served. We are now comprised of 30 cardiologists, with a collective experience of over 500 years of patient care, equally committed to pursuing the same vision of providing individual, high-quality patient care as the original group. Major technological advances have changed cardiovascular care, and we at SDCA have embraced new procedural techniques and drug therapies. We are committed to following profession-accepted, evidence-based therapies and are active in creating clinical pathways to optimize patient outcomes. We provide active, inpatient (hospital) and outpatient (office-based) services, including state-of-the-art diagnostic and interventional therapies. Our commitment to healing and restoring health after the diagnosis of heart disease is underscored by our Cardiac Rehabilitation program, the longest established program in the South Metro Region. A Cardiovascular Research program has been established to allow access to promising therapies that may not otherwise be available to our patients. With our new facility, we have expanded our patient care focus to include a strong emphasis on prevention and early disease detection. Our new facility has been designed to provide the full spectrum of cardiac services for both our patients and the community. Included in our facility is a Lifestyle Center dedicated to mind-body restorative therapies, exercise, and education. Our 90-seat auditorium includes a cooking demonstration area, and will provide a powerful gathering place and will further enhance the delivery of cardiac care to the South Metro community.
